Revelation – A Manifesto of Joy will be a six week Zoom discussion of the most fascinating and confusing book in the Bible. (First six Fridays in Lent at Noon, EST) In it we’ll try to discover not just the social and religious background for Revelation, but also try to unearth the Gospel that lies beneath the often frightening surface.
My plan for the class is this. About ten days before each meeting I’ll send out some introductory comments on the chapters assigned. It is my hope that each of you will then read those chapters and send me back your questions and concerns from those chapters. There is too much to cover in six weeks unless you help me focus on what you most want to be included.
That means reading ahead of even the session for the given week, but I really need your help to make our discussion fruitful. Signing up means signing up to help me help you.
