Asking for Your Help

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I’ve finally undertaken to write this book that’s been on my heart for a couple of years. I found that I was resisting it in large part because this subject, healing ministry, is so important to me that I couldn’t bring myself to begin because was sure I’d fail. I may yet, but I’m trying.

I wanted, I want to write a book on healing that tears away a lot of the misunderstandings around it and makes it more approachable. I want to encourage others who feel a tug to engage in healing ministry to take that first step forward. More than anything, I want to encourage my “progressive” siblings in Christ to believe that this ministry is for us, too.

I’ve written one other book that you can still find on Amazon, “Hearing His Voice.” It was hard work, and submitting my writing to editors was even harder. It was humbling and I don’t look forward to it. Having recently moved, I don’t have the same cadre of writers and editors around me that I once did, so I’m hoping to “crowdsource” the editing job. If you will read the chapters as I get them written and use the comments at the bottom to let me know what isn’t clear or where I’ve just made mistakes, I will be most appreciative.

One way or another, though, this short book on healing is underway, and I hope that you’ll help me.

Thank you.

In Him,

Jeff K.

  1. Fr. Jeff,
I got the notification for this in my inbox, and as overjoyed as I am to read anything of yours, I look forward to reading this with particular interest and much prayer. God be with you in the process!

    1. Thanks for the encouragement, Josh. I confess that this is the hardest thing I’ve ever tried to write. Each time I sit down to put another few hundred words down my shoulders knot up. I am so desperate not to get this wrong that it nearly paralyzes me. Of course, I vastly overestimate the importance of it all. If I could remember my own analogy to play I might do better. Nonetheless, your encouragement really helps.
